Photography means writing with light—Atton Conrad took that literally when he used light to paint a dress onto his model during a photo shoot for Belvedere Vodka. The process involved combining multiple images, but had pretty astounding results. Dressing his model in nude-colored underclothes, he photographed her first, then separately took some shots using an electroluminescent wire, wearing dark clothes and moving quickly so he wasn’t in the image but the light “dress” was. Conrad used the light as a dress, but photographers could get creative with this technique and apply it in a different manner. Check out this video on how Conrad achieved his final image.
