Lindsay Adler has made a name for herself as a fashion and portrait photographer, moving to New York City from upstate at an early age, determined to make it as a photographer in the toughest market in the world.

She is a photographer of great merit although still only in her 20s. And she isn’t only content with shooting. She travels around the world teaching photography. She recently taught a course at CreativeLIVE on becoming a fashion photographer, and another on simple video for photographers. Her distinctive work and early success are inspiring.

As of this post date (12/18/13), CreativeLIVE is showing a rebroadcast of Adler’s fascinating and info-packed presentation, “Retouching & Photoshop Techniques”, a must-see for portrait and fashion photographers.

This is one profile in a series about photographers to follow in 2014. These are people who are doing groundbreaking photographic work and who teach the rest of us how to do it too. They fit the PhotographyTricks motto: spreading passion for life through photography.
